Ericsson’s W25 Fixed Wireless Terminal is a high speed wireless voice and data gateway- the perfect solution for a mobile office or keeping in touch whilst you are off shore. The W25 acts like a fixed line alternative/replacement for broadband Internet.
The W2 Series Fixed Wireless Terminals operate over the 3G network for faster data speeds- a convenient feature of the W2 Series is its ability to operate over the GSM cellular network if a 3G network is not available.
What is a 3G Fixed Wireless Terminal?
A 3G fixed wireless terminals acts like a 3G Gateway. This fixed wireless terminal offers users voice, IP Fax and broadband internet communication via the 3G WCDMA /HSDPA network.
How does a Fixed Wireless Terminal work?
The W25 Fixed Wireless Terminal connects to a telephone via its RJ11 port. Connection to a computer is via the units ethernet, WiFi or USB port. The unit takes a Sim Card and sends all calls over the cell network- ensuring more cost efficient data connection charges. The units also connect to any landline handset or PBX to make voice calls which are routed out over the mobile network.
